CycleDroid – bike computer

CycleDroid allows for tracking your movement using GPS and display parameters such as: speed, distance, time, altitude, elevation, slope, burned calories, fat and many more. A route can be shown on a map and published on Facebook. The application allows for creating trips and assigning collected data to a specified trip. There is also a possibility to see a summary of selected trips: total distance, time etc.

All data collected by the application can be exported to an SD card in the CSV format and then imported to another device with CycleDroid. It is also possible to save data to a GPX (GPS eXchange Format) or KML file and see a route on a map on a computer (for instance in Google Earth).

CycleDroid provides also a feature of drawing graphs: altitude/distance, speed/distance, speed/time. You can easily zoom in/out a graph using multi-touch. The application allows for saving a particular graph or its part as an image file.

Permissions:
– precise location (GPS and network-based) – to track movement,
– modify or delete the contents of your USB storage, test access to protected storage – for importing and exporting trips,
– prevent device from sleeping – to keep tracking enabled when a phone is not being used,
– full network access, view network connections, read Google service configuration – for Google Maps and Facebook.

Feel free to rate, report bugs in the application or translations, leave your opinions in comments and contact me either directly or by CycleDroid Facebook profile: http://www.facebook.com/cycledroid. If you like this application, rate it on this site. If you would like to help me and participate in the translation of CycleDroid, enter this site: http://crowdin.net/project/cycledroid.

Is there a way to get an update via voice to my head phones every 2 miles? Telling me distance/time/avg speed?? That would be my only complaint, bc if your mount isn't working to view the screen then the only way your getting an update is if you stop.

Thank you Michal for this app. It works as expected. However the 'Altitude' function isn't accurate. I read your post where you said that was because that feature isn't accurate on the device, but GPS test reads my altitude accurately down to a couple of feet. Cycledroid is off by sometimes 200 ft. Also I am in the US and set the App to use imperial units. However when I enter my weight it asks for kilograms. Is that right? It's no big deal at all but I just want to make sure I have my weight entered right. If you can get the altitude more accurate I'll rate 5 stars :) Thanks again!

Works well but interface could use improving. When on the bike it's difficult to switch between stats page and map page. Would be nice if there's a short cut to toggle between them or if you could swipe between the stats and map. Also takes a minute or two to refresh the map tiles.

Looking for a good bike app to track my time, distance, etc. when riding. Another aspect I am always interested in is calories burned. I rode the bike to the gym and back today and looked at my numbers. The calories burned is way to high, even though there are hills to ride up going both ways - of course riding down hill also on the way there and back. Perhaps the speed attained on the downhill portions mess up the calories burned estimate. 30 minute ride, 4.12 miles, burned calories 794, max speed 27.4 mph, average speed 8.4 mph, ascend elevation 344 feet, descend elevation 322 feet. Burned fat 3.6 oz, consumed oxygen 43.5 gallons. - not sure what to make of these two stats. Besides the KCAL burned being off the other information is good and the app overall is easy to use.

I'm hoping it will be better now that winter is setting in as the other app I've been using is to glaring on my face when riding in the dark. Will update stars if it does the job
